Advanced Practice in mental health across the South West
This two-part webinar series is designed for practitioners, department managers and workforce decision-makers to understand the role of Advanced Practice in mental health. In these sessions we will focus on what an advanced practitioner might do in a service and how you might develop the strategic case for advanced practice, including clarity of scope and the enabling infrastructure needed to realise benefits & impact. In both sessions we will hear from colleagues who are delivering services with Advanced Practitioners across the region. We will conclude each webinar with questions & answers session to explore and support with any barriers that you may be experiencing.
Session 1: The essentials of Advanced Practice in mental health. Tuesday 2nd June – 9:30 am to 11 am
An introduction to Advanced Practice in mental health – what it is, how it can benefit patient care and service delivery as well as what good workforce planning looks like. There will be real-world examples, allowing reflection on how advanced practice might benefit services in your organisation.
Session 2: Implementing Advanced Practice in mental health: governance, supervision & impact. Tuesday 23rd June – 9:30 am to 11 am
Move from concept to delivery: how to implement Advanced Practice roles safely and effectively in mental health services.
